From my morning walk
Therapy for writer's block
OK, I admit it: I am having a terrible time, trying to finish up my series of posts on stratospheric aerosol injection. Sometimes the best thing to do when the task at hand is utterly disgusting is to take a break; do something else. My mental wanderings led me to conceptualize a new political image, and I needed another photo to construct it. So, I took my little camera along with me on my walk this morning. Looking up, I saw it was clouding up. As I have a special place in my heart for clouds, I took a few pictures on the way to and from the site of the political shot, and am sharing them with all my subscribers today in an effort to make up for my writing lethargy.
I've been photographing clouds for quite a while now, and even once had a solo show at an art center that consisted entirely of cloud images. I will be featuring a selection of them on my artistic web site [1]. At that time, I will post a discussion for paid subscribers of why I am so enthralled with clouds and which artists have inspired me to pursue them as an artistic topic.
A while after returning home, I noticed the weather becoming more threatening, so I picked up my big camera and took a few more shots, two of which are below. No, that is not a lens artifact, and no, I didn't 'shop it into the image or try any tricks. Perhaps it was some sort of rare atmospheric vortex, and definitely not ET. (They're not here; they're not coming . . )
Just wondering if you see a human shape in the image below.
