Social media have been outlawed in France, starting in September, for children under the age of 15, and several other countries in the civilized world appear to be considering such measures. This I think is a good thing, and wish the prohibition were extended to include LLMs. Even if that hadn’t been done I like the idea of ads promoting reading. I remember when the idea of encouraging people to read was not politically contentious here in the US.
